Migrant Workers, Unite to Fight Fascism, Exploitation, and War!

While different major events took place earlier on during the Week of Action starting April 28th, the main nationally coordinated events began on International Worker’s Day or May Day.

On May 1, 2026, BAYAN organizations took to the streets to oppose the fascist attacks on our migrant communities, raise the demands of working class people, and link the fight against fascism, war, and exploitation. Across the US, from Baltimore to San Francisco to New York, thousands mobilized to raise the demands of exploited caregivers, trafficked seafarers, detained migrants, such as Las Madres Unidas en La Lucha, and justice for those live lost to US-backed militarism abroad. All workers unite and continue to raise the fight against fascism, exploitation, and war and for a better world!

The May Day mobilizations set the tone for the days following - in which we linked the struggles and experiences of migrant workers across the world! Our overall call - Kabuhayan! Hindi bala!
